Carlos Ghosn (°1954) is a Brazilian-Lebanese-French businessman who is currently the Chairman and CEO of Yokohama, Japan-based Nissan and holds the same positions at Paris-based Renault, which together produce more than one in 10 cars worldwide. After the Nissan financial turnaround, he achieved celebrity status and ranks as one of the 50 most famous men in global business and politics.

Warsaw fashion event

On November 22nd, 2011 a fashion event was organized by the Representant of the Brussels Region in Poland, Mr. Nicolas Nève de Mévergnies, at the Belgian Embassy in Warsaw. During a perfectly organized fashion show the only company showing masculine collections was Scabal. Both business and casual attire and evening and ceremonial wear were shown.

Since more than 20 years Scabal is represented by the Honorary Consul of Belgium in Western Poland, Mr. Jan Spilliaert.

Warsaw is a major international tourist destination and an important economical hub in Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw's mixture of architectural styles reflects the turbulent history of the city and country. The city has wonderful examples of architecture from the gothic, renaissance, baroque and neoclassical periods, all of which are located within easy walking distance of the town centre.Of the 21 tallest skyscrapers in Poland, 18 are situated in Warsaw so Warsaw's current urban landscape is one of modern and contemporary architecture. Famous people born in Warsaw are Chopin, Marie Curie, Tamara de Lempicka and Isaac Bashevis Singer.

Stromae dressed by Scabal

From Barak Obama over Leonardo di Caprio to Daniel Craig, Scabal dresses a long list of internationally known persons.

At the start of 2010 a young Belgian conquers the charts with "Alors on danse" : Stromae made his way to the top through the internet after giving online lessons on "how to compose a track". At the age of 25 this "maestro" does not only make people dance, his music talks about his work, life, struggles, love and more. Influenced by old school technotronic of the nineties, he release his first album "Cheese".

Bow ties and smart dress became a trademark of this singer and as of now he will be performing in Scabal made-to-measure outfits.

The story in suitings is about fineness and lightness, down to as little as 160 grams. Super fine wool, cashmere, summer kid mohair are the main ingredients. Linen and cotton/silk blends are important for the casual tailored jackets and unlined or half-lined jackets.

Mr. Entrepeneur, Mr. Expert, Mr. Diplomat, Mr. Intuitive, Mr. Laidback and Mr. Aristocrat show bold checks, pronounced stripes as well as gentle pinstripes and subtle colours in a slim silhouette. Finish off with a suede belt and a silk tie or scarf.

Bulgaria: billboards and dressing politicians

Sofia offers its visitors a variety of attractions - medieval churches, archeological sites, tombs, monuments, parks, and museums, to name a few. Among Sofia's highlights is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Royal Ultimus

More than 27 years after the international collaboration was first undertaken with the Twelfth Duke of Argyll, Scabal and Torquhil Argyll (Thirteenth Duke of Argyll) have decided to work together again.

To pay homage to his late father, Scabal has decided to launch the “Royal Ultimus” range, a reinterpretation of the fabrics that were created in 1983 for Torquhil’s father. Technology has evolved in the mean time and the new Royal Ultimus fabrics range is now even more attractive.

It is made from classic fabrics woven in England, 90 per cent Super 150’s wool and 10 per cent cashmere. This Super 150’s wool is spun to a very traditional yarn count introducing 10 per cent of the finest cashmere available. It results in one of the most beautiful cloth ever made in 320 grams.

The Economist iPad / iPhone ads

Scabal presents digital ads in the world-known magazine "The Economist". The magazine started in 1843 in London and today has over 1 million readers.

Scabal is taking a further step in the online world. Seven years ago Scabal launched the innovative Fabrics Catalogue showing over 5000 fabrics with a search function using 12 characteristics. The websites have evolved a lot since and today we are happy to use the iPad as a new communication platform with our customers.

Through it's apps, The Economist reaches audiences on both iPhone and iPad. The free app shows highlights of the magazine's content. A single issue can be bought or one can subscribe for a lengthier period.

The ad has appeared 4 times in September throughout 26 countries in the EU using the Autumn Winter campaign pictures.
